Frankiln Institute Recap: Pick-Z-Pocket

For those who don’t recall, in mid to late September I was busy preparing my one pound fighting robot, Pick-Z-Pocket, for a combat tournament. The last minute preparations went well and I even had enough time to make a few spare hammer heads. The day of the comp we(Sam, Colin, and Rasheem) got up way too early to make the trek to philly. Did saftey check and got to waiting/ looking at all the bots that showed up. Ended up winning my first four fights, then I got matched up with gyroscopic who rattled poor PZP right out of the arena. Amongst a solid number of dings, the beating also severed PZP’s antenna, I did my best to make the repairs but didn’t end up 100% and lost the next match. 4-2 not bad, ended up 3rd overall. Big Thanks to Colin and Rasheem for the support!

my first win of the day

my heavy handed beating.
